From a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a painter. As young as I can remember myself, I felt love and passion for art. Two years ago, the fire was rekindled in me, and I decided that art needed to be part of my life one way or another. Life took me in different directions, but I always knew that I would find my way back to my dreams. This past year I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and I started to paint my experience and my pain as a way of coping and healing. Through my personal journey, I came to the realization that there is a great need to raise awareness for endometriosis, and from there the idea was born to expose the world to my paintings, which illustrate the whole array of emotions, feelings, disappointments, and successes of these women who aren’t seen.
